2013 Dealer Training and Tailgate event

We would like to recap some of the brainstorming ideas we shared on our last call.

First off, the Dealer Training will take place on May 6-7, 2013 at the Holiday Inn in Perrysburg, OH. We would like to look into sessions on the following topics:

  • How much is a service call worth?- Rationale: We know that our counterparts in the heating and cooling industry have much success with making service calls and pricing them at a rate that is considered fair to the consumer yet is cost effective to the service provider. We would like to have that same capability in our industry.
  • How do maintenance agreements work?-Rationale: Again, this is an area that we would like to take a closer look at so that there is a uniform method of providing maintenance agreements for our customers. We want to explore the best way to execute these plans, is it a flat fee, hourly or another method.
  • How does Obama care impact the small business?-Rationale: with this new act coming into place, we need to discover how this will impact our bottom line as well as what we provide for our employees and the penalties that could be placed upon us if we chose not to offer insurance.
  • Dealer Roundtable-Rationale: It is important for us to learn from each other. Some topics we can discuss are How Do We Price Our Services and perhaps we could have study groups pre-assigned to have no competing stores at the same table.

This is just a preliminary list that can be modified and added to. Please look it over and provide any feedback that you can. We would like this to be a worthwhile event that really answers some questions that our dealers are having every day.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
